Are you passionate and enthusiastic about the future of your NHS and want to help us shape the future of services?
The NHS are currently seeking volunteers to play a key role in helping us shape the future of services for our local NHS.
As a patient representative, service user, or carer your role will be to attend meetings and speak from a service user perspective, acting as a critical friend
Do you have an interest in Primary Care?
You are invited to help the NHS to transform primary care services in south west London. To do this, they have set up a patient, public & carer representative group, which helps shape the work of their Transforming Primary Care Delivery Group. Being part of this will give you the opportunity to contribute to discussions about primary care developments in south west London and share what is important to you as patients who use primary care services.
The main focus of the work is to lead transformations and improvements in primary care across south west London. The Transforming Primary Care Delivery Group, which this group will feed into, is made up of staff, including clinicians, from the six south west London Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs), NHS England, South West London Collaborative Commissioning (SWLCC), Healthy London Partnership and the London Local Medical Committee (LMC).
What does the role involve?
Your role will be to attend meetings to bring in the voice and experience of patients/carers to discussions, acting as an independent critical friend.
Meetings will be held every six – eight weeks and will usually take place in Wimbledon in the evenings (17:30 – 19:30). Reasonable travel and alternative care expenses will be paid. Support will be given through: training; induction meetings and one to one support.
