Come along and help Sutton U3A celebrate its 30th anniversary and learn more about group

Sutton U3A is celebrating its 30th Anniversary this year and is very proud to have reached that milestone.  The group would like to invite anyone interested to come along and learn more about us at our Promotional Day at Sutton Library on Friday 15 September.

“Although U3A stands for “University of the Third Age”, we are not a university but a group of people committed to lifelong learning, fighting against loneliness, isolation and depression, whilst enjoying new challenges, meeting new friends and having fun.   So there is life after work!” said a spokesperson

“You do not need any qualifications to join Sutton U3A apart from being semi-retired or retired. We are a unique and exciting self-help movement providing recreational, educational and social activities for semi-retired and retired people in and around Sutton.  A wide range of interest Groups are offered plus coach and theatre outings

“Activities are organised mainly in small interest groups which meet regularly, learning from each other through sharing their knowledge, skills and experience.  Sutton U3A currently has 40+ interest groups.”
