Come and join borough’s newest choir – Sutton Young Singers

Sutton Music Service, lead partner in the Sutton Music Hub, is launching a brand new choir this term for talented and enthusiastic young singers. Sutton Young Singers is aimed at boys and girls aged 8 to 13 and will be directed by renowned singer and choral director, Emily Murphy, who has recently been appointed Senior Leader for singing and vocal development with Sutton Music Service.

Lewis Gibbs, Head of Music Service, commented ‘Sutton Music Service is already very well known for our fantastic bands and orchestras, which bring together the best young instrumentalists in the area. Our plan is that Sutton Young Singers will do the same for children who love to sing, and it’s at the heart of our new singing strategy for Sutton. We know that there’s some fantastic work going on our primary and secondary schools to promote singing and our hope is that Sutton Young Singers will complement this, giving further opportunities to perform at the highest level’.
