Everyone deserves some warmth this winter! So help people Wrap Up warm

Safestore, the UK’s largest self storage company for choice, is calling on Londoners to donate good quality, unwanted coats to support Hands on London’s 2017 Wrap Up London campaign. This will be the 7th annual Wrap Up London coat collection campaign, which will run from 9th to 15th November.

Last year 850 people gave their time to collect nearly 23,000 coats which were distributed to over a 100 charities across Greater London.

Safestore is urging Londoners to give generously and have created drop off points at Safestore locations in Kings CrossNotting HillChiswick and Clapham Northwhere members of the public and businesses can donate coats for an extended time period from 13th to 24th November during standard opening hours.

Jon Meech, CEO of Hands On London, said “We’re really excited to be launching the 7th Wrap up London campaign, this year we’re hoping that Londoners will donate over 22,000 coats to help to keep some of the city’s most vulnerable residents warm this winter. We’re in particular need of men’s coats and it’d be great to hit our target for this of 18,000.  Every coat donated will go via our charity partners to someone who really needs it in London

Coat drop off points will also be set up at the following tube stations in London: Liverpool Street, Waterloo, Kings Cross, London Bridge, Victoria and Canary Wharf.  The collection dates at the tube stations are Monday 13th to Wednesday the 15th Nov 2017 from 7am – 11am.

Shahid Kadodia, Digital & Marketing Director at Safestore, added, “We’re proud to be supporting Wrap Up London for the 7th year in a row. It’s a great initiative which supports many vulnerable people in the capital during this cold time of year.  So please go through your wardrobe to see if you have any good quality coats that you no longer need and bring them into store as it will make a huge difference to someone who is facing the elements this winter.”
