Steel Physique is the coming together of two fitness experts. Co owner Scott Humphreys who is a Personal Trainer and Gymnastics coach and Co – owner Abigail Ellis – , Personal Trainer, Aerial Instructor and Latin & ballroom dancer/Instructor.

It has always been our dream to have our own facility and having both been in the fitness industry for a number of years it was a dream come true to open our own Gym and studio” said Scott.

“With experience in different areas of the industry and taking on select personal trainers to work in our gym we are able to offer specialised training in a number of different genres like Pole, boxing, Kick boxing, MMA, gymnastics and contortion as well as being able to tailor personal training to fit your desired fitness goals whether its losing weight or gaining strength we can make plans to make sure you achieve your goals.”

The facility boasts a small and personal gym with plenty of equipment to be able to have a killer work out by yourself or if you are unsure of what to do to take part in our some of our customised classes where a personal trainer will put your through your paces with limited class numbers so you don’t get lost in a crowd and make sure that you are performing skills correctly, on top of this being opposite Sutton train station having showering/changing facilities there’s no reason not to stop off on your way to work where the gym opens at 6:00 am and sessions start at 6:30 am or relieve some of your stress after a day’s work by stopping off straight after work before you get home.

The couple met met back in late 2014 in a local gym where Scott was a member and Abbie was the Personal Trainer and Pole instructor.
Developing the gym the couple noted words down on a piece of paper trying to associate everything that was pole and gym related before two words really stuck out that linked the two genres together.

“Steel, everything weights related was made of the metal and the poles Abbie was using we metal as well. Physique, well the two genres sum this up without explanation and from there the Steel Physique Brand was born. From there we were offered the opportunity to have our dream come true and own our very own gym and studio, with a full makeover and a little tinkering Steel Physique Athletic was born and here we are today,” said Scott.
