On Friday 19th May children and staff took part in the ‘Daily Mile’, but ‘marched’ a bit further than we usually do, to raise money for the Royal Marsden’s Oak Centre for Children and Young People. We decorated the playground with balloons and banners and all dressed in the Marsden’s colours of orange, lime green, magenta and blue. All our classes took part from Nursery to Year 6 and had such fun taking part.
We opened a ‘JustGiving’ page entitled ‘Hackbridge Marsden March’ and set ourselves a goal to reach of £500. We are overwhelmed with the generosity and support of all our friends and families who, at the time of writing, have donated a total exceeding £2,000 for this worthwhile charity. If you want to share in our day visit our Twitter page Hackbridge Primary@HackbridgeRocks or follow the hashtag #HackbridgeMarsdenMarch.
Our JustGiving page is still open and we would be so grateful to receive any further donations.
