Fantastic range of special events at theatre in September

This September boasts a broad-range of special events at Richmond Theatre. From musical tributes to rip roaring comedies, audiences will be hard-pressed to miss this outstanding line up.

Following a sell-out run at the world famous Sydney Opera House, Peace Train traces the path of a Cat Stevens, who never stopped wondering about how to make the world a better place. Featuring songs such as First Cut is the Deepest, Father & Son, Peace Train, Moonshadow and Where do the Children Play, Peace Train is a night of music and story-telling which will strike a chord deep inside the heart of anyone who longs for something more.

Join CBeebies’ Mister Maker in his hit live theatre tour with a fabulous supporting cast and art at its heart.  This engaging live show encourages Mini Makers and grown-ups to sing, dance and make some noise! There’s a big ‘make’ to take part in, lots of audience participation and…The Shapes! Called ‘Inventive, creative, entertaining, and a great way for young children to see just how much fun being crafty can be,’ by the Sheffield Star, this is one arty adventure Mini Makers won’t want to miss!

Laugh along with us as Richmond local legend and one-liner extraordinaire, Milton Jones brings his new stand up tour Milton Jones is Out There to Richmond next month. In his brand new show he’ll be putting his foot down and lifting the lid on the pedal bin of lies of the media (which doesn’t include this press release obviously). Milton will be talking about his life so far – the ups, the downs and why buying his own see-saw was the best decision he ever made. Oh, and now he wants to be Prime Minister too.

Back with a brand new production for 2017 with an all new elaborate stage set, The Chicago Blues Brothers are taking audiences back to 1980 to finish the concert at the Palace ballroom hotel. This show is a powerhouse two-hour song-fest with over 40 hits performed live on stage in the concert that never finished. This show, called ‘joyous and infectious’ by The Stage, is a juiced-up jamboree of the coolest, funkiest soul, blues and Motown hits performed with style, class and showmanship by a troupe of some of the finest entertainers working in modern musical theatre.
