Greenshaw Learning Trust will give school a “bright future”

Victor Seymour Infants’ school is joining the Greenshaw Learning Trust.
On 1 July Victor Seymour Infants’ School in Carshalton became the latest school to join the Greenshaw Learning Trust.

Martin Rowlands, Chair of Governors at Victor Seymour, said: “We look forward to collaborating closely with the schools of the Greenshaw Learning Trust and a bright future for our school.”

Mike Cooper, Chair of the Greenshaw Learning Trust, said: “We are delighted to be able to welcome Victor Seymour into the Greenshaw Learning Trust. Victor Seymour will benefit from working closely with all the schools in the trust, and in particular with Green Wrythe Primary and Greenshaw High, which are nearby and already have a close relationship with Victor Seymour.”

Following careful consideration of what would be best option for the school, Victor Seymour’s governing body decided that the school should apply to become an academy and join the Greenshaw Learning Trust.

The governing body consulted its stakeholders, and having considered the questions and issues that had been raised in the consultation it confirmed its decision and agreed to proceed to become an academy with the Greenshaw Learning Trust. The necessary arrangements for the school to become an academy with the Trust have now been completed.

Tweeddale Primary School in Carshalton is currently consulting on the proposal of its governing body that it should join the Greenshaw Learning Trust – if the proposal proceeds as planned, it is expected that the school will join the trust in September.
