Housing group’s activity fund could help your aged 50+ group

The Clarion Housing Group Neighbourhood Investment team for London South has launched the Activity Fund for Adults aged 50+. The Fund provides up to £1000 for resident groups and community organisations in the London South region (including all ex-Circle and ex-Affinity Sutton stock). We are looking for project ideas that benefit Clarion Housing Group tenants and residents and the communities in which they live.

There are 3 main objectives of the fund:

  1. Provides an opportunity for Clarion Housing Group’s residents to learn something new

    1. We want to encourage our residents to learn a new skill, try a new activity or take up a new hobby.

  2. Reduces Isolation

    1. We want to encourage our residents to get to know their community, meet their neighbours and make new friends.

  3. Promotes good health and wellbeing

    1. We want to improve the physical health and/or mental wellbeing of our residents.

Projects must also:

  • Encourage volunteering and user led activity

    • We want to provide opportunities for our residents to volunteer and help shape services.

  • Be inclusive and accessible

    • We want to ensure that all our residents including those with both physical and non-visible disabilities, mental health and long term health conditions can access and participate in activities. (It’s also important to remember that everyone is unique and barriers for people with certain conditions do not apply to all people with those conditions.)
