Huge disappointment for Rovers sunday side

football-3There was massive disappointment for Tyler Chambers and his Sutton Common Rovers Sunday side, as they bowed out of the County Cup at the quarter final stage, writes Gary Brigden

Against good opponents in Palace Saint Germain the lads made an appalling start, and found themselves 2-0 down inside the opening six minutes and were unable to pull themselves back into the game.

Chances came to Liam Holden and Asa Rixon, but they found the Palace keeper in outstanding form, with one save from a Nathan Oliver free kick being remarkable.

We trailed 2-0 at the break and could have fallen further behind on 55 minutes, but our keeper saved a penalty to keep us in it. We pulled one back with twenty minutes remaining, but it was not enough and we bowed out.
