It’s R and B festival time at Sutton’s Boomboom Club on Friday August 12 at the BoomBoom Club which uses The Gander Green Lane Sports Ground of Sutton United as its venue.

THE SHARPEES 20th Anniversary Show:
The hardest working R&B band in Europe celebrate their 20th anniversary and preview their new ‘Sharpees Live‘ album on Wave 365 media.
Founder member/song writer Bill Mead, Brendan O’Neil (Rory Gallagher/9 Below 0), Baz Payne provide high energy R&B, influenced by Rory Gallagher, Dr Feelgood, Tom Petty, & George Thorogood.
BEKI BRINDLE Band: New York Blues Hall of Fame inductee & top session guitarist Beki Brindle tours the UK behind her ‘All Kinds of Beki’ album, which features John Sebastian and Chris White.
A Warner Brothers recording artist she was lead guitarist with James Burton, Jerry Lee Lewis and the legendary James “Yank” Rachell (of ‘Diving Duck’ and ‘She Caught The Katy’ fame). John Mayall is a big fan and described her vocals as having, “Possessive Emotions”
She was invited to Woodstock, NY by THE BAND’s Rick Danko and Richard Manuel before joining both The Tom Pacheco & Eric Andersen bands.
She worked with Rick Danko, Richard Manuel, John Sebastian; and Mary Stokes Blues Band, and U2’s Bono in Ireland, while also working with members of U2, The Waterboys, Thin Lizzy, and touring with Carey Bell, Joe Louis Walker, Tampa Red Fenton Robinson.
The Sepia Swing Show Twins consist of UK Blues award nominee, David Raphael on Harp/Guitar/Vocals and internationally acclaimed Guitarist/Vocalist, Nick Hyde.
The twins deliver ‘jaw dropping harmonica, magical guitars and awesome harmonies’, covering a seamless set of Blues / Jug / Roots / Folk and Jazzy grooves (circa: 1840 – current day).
This is “toe tapping and table banging stuff and most of all, audience participation time”.
Dave & Nick have played all over Europe with the likes of Lazy Lester, Little Jimmy Reed, The Bayou Brothers from San Diego…..from Finland to Portugal, France to Norway, Denmark to Spain. These guys have shared the biggest festival stages with many of the finest around.
