Lindsey’s musical influences will be on show at Wallington

The latest Wallington Music Festival is planned to be the best yet. With music taking place at several venues across the town there will be “something for everyone” on June 25th. Included in the line up will be Britain’s Got Talent star Wayne Woodward.

Lindsey Simpson is one of the artists that is appearing.

Lindsey Simpson is a satirical acoustic, blues, folk musician from Hull. His music takes influence from real world happenings with a hint of politics and humour.

Lindsey has performed on the main stages at Hull’s Freedom Festival, Filey Folk Festival, Beverley Folk Festival, Cottingham Springboard Festival and MusicPort. The largest non festival venues he has performed at include Huddersfield Town Hall, Hull City Hall and Sheffield City Hall. He has supported the likes of Michael Chapman, Aly Bain & Phil Cunningham, and John Tamms & Barry Coope.

During summer 2013 Lindsey had a cider named after him! Brewed by Burnards in Norfolk, “Lindsey Simpson’s Slide Blues Cider” is medium sweet and at 5.6% ABV really packs a punch. It is widely available throughout the UK.

With a mix of old style blues, country, folk and humorous yet poignant lyrical content, Lindsey is fast becoming one of the UK’s most entertaining musicians.
