They are focussing on inactive people ( those who do less than 30 minutes of physical activity per week) from low socio-economic groups. Just 17% of people in the highest socio-economic groups are inactive, compared to almost 40% in the lowest group. The funding is about more than getting people active. At the heart of it is using sport and physical activity to improve lives and communities.

London Sport will be presenting on the fund at the Riverside Community Association, 113 Culvers Avenue, Carshalton SM5 2FJ Thursday 5th October 2017(10.30 am to 12.30 pm), and will be available to answer your questions on this funding and provide tops tips for securing this and other funding. This will be followed by a networking session.

Come along to the session with your project ideas and we can explore opportunities to improve the lives of residents in Sutton.
