Traditionally, home movers need to take a day off to arrange for removals companies to come and view the property prior to issuing a quotation. Now arranging a survey is as simple as making a Facetime call.

Pickfords customers can now download an app to their smartphone or tablet, which allows them to speak face to face with their Move Consultant. They can then video their home and the goods they need to move while the Move Consultant watches remotely and assesses their requirements.

The video is recorded and stored on a secure cloud based server and is an accurate record of the goods to be moved. Surveys can now be booked at a time that is convenient to the customer, 24/7.

Pickfords has over 25 trained Video surveyors and has conducted 1800 video surveys so far.

The benefits to our customers are that they can book a time for their survey during the day or in the evening, the time taken to conduct a survey is shorter, and we can provide a quotation much quicker.”
