Politicians visit Rosehill to talk to shopkeepers and business owners

Tom Brake, MP for Carshalton and Wallington and Councillor Jean Crossby visited shopkeepers and business owners in Rosehill worried about low level anti-social behaviour in the area.

Jean Crossby, Liberal Democrat Councillor, said:

“I have been working closely with the Council, the police and shopkeepers in the area to understand the reasons for recent increases in anti-social behaviour (ASB) and to find a suitable solution.”

Tom Brake said:

“I welcomed the chance to meet and listen to, and to try to reassure, Rosehill shopkeepers that the issue is being taken seriously. These shops are well-used and valued by the local community and we will work hard to resolve the issue. ”

Councillor Crossby said that the politicians have contacted the Police and Sutton Housing Partnership about the ASB and Superdrug about their damaged shop to confirm whether and when they intend rebuilding it.
