Morpher, the flat folding bike helmet’s crowdfunding campaign has so far raised nearly £700,000 on Seedrs. The campaign smashed its initial target just two weeks after launch with more than 400 investors pledging money on the Seedrs crowdfunding platform.

Sir Andy Murray has invested in Morpher’s campaign as part of his ongoing investment in UK start-up companies via the Seedrs crowdfunding platform.

Sir Andy Murray says about Morpher: “Morpher is a product that the modern cyclist should own – one that has been dutifully perfected by an award-winning inventor”.

Morpher Helmet, is the world’s first flat folding bicycle helmet. It folds and unfolds in seconds and slips into a bag when not in use. Morpher overcomes the problem of the 83% of cyclists who won’t wear a helmet because they find them cumbersome to carry when not in use.

Jeff Woolf OBE, inventor and CEO of Morpher says: “The last few weeks, since the launch of our Seedrs campaign, have been very exciting. Now having the world’s greatest tennis player give his endorsement by investing in our company is absolutely brilliant”.

Jeff, awarded an OBE for innovation, has twice been awarded British Inventor of the Year. His Morpher helmet, several years in the making, has won five prestigious awards, including Poplar Science invention of the year and TIME Magazine’s top 25 Inventions of the year in 2016.

Over 4000 Morpher helmets have been sold worldwide and Morpher has patents granted in many countries as well as pending in several others. It has CE EN:1078 and CPSC safety certification and is produced by one of the world’s leading helmet manufacturers who also produce for big name brand cycle helmets such as Bell, Giro, Scott, Lazer, Specialized, Bolle, Kali, POC, Trek, Limar etc.

The money raised from the Seedrs campaign will help fulfil the growing demand for Morpher helmets from cyclists and distributors worldwide. Plans for Morpher helmets include development of an amazing range of exciting new safety products for the snow sports, motor sports and security markets.

“”The response to Morpher from cyclists all over the world has been fantastic. With the rise in commuter cycling and over 200 million people regularly using bike share schemes across the globe, as well as the fact that more bikes are sold than cars in the EU and US, the market for this product is simply staggering”, says Jeff.
