EcoLocal will be running its popular six week food growing course with start dates of Saturday 22nd April and 30th September at Carshalton Community Allotment.

The course is suitable for those who are starting out or looking to get some more detailed knowledge of food growing, teaching everything needed to confidently grow fruit and vegetables.

Areas covered by the course include:
– Preparing your growing area
– Planning what to grow
– Planting techniques
– Taking care of your plants
– Feeding your soil
– Harvesting and storing produce

Over the six weeks, hands on experience as well as theoretical knowledge will be offered alongside support of an experienced tutor.

The cost of the course is just £75 and can be students can receive an AQA level 1, with certificates provided for an additional fee, if required.
