Sutton Police Cadets parade as part of Remembrance event

Sutton Volunteer Police Cadets took part in two services in the borough on Remembrance Sunday – 8 November.

At Belmont, a colour party of ten cadets marched with other groups through the streets before taking part in the Service of Remembrance which was attended by the Mayor of Sutton and Sutton Police Borough Commander Chief Supt David Snelling.

Other cadets took part in the Remembrance Service at Manor Park in Sutton Town Centre.

Cadets also helped with the Poppy Collection in Sutton High Street during two days of the half term holiday in October.

PC Lorraine Roche, who runs the cadets with PC Gill Nolan, said: “More than 70 of our cadets took part in the ceremonies and we were very proud so many of them took part and wanted to pay their respects. We also received many comments about how smart they looked,” she added.
