Sutton United have been drawn at home to AFC Wimbledon in an Emirates FA Cup 3rd round local derby. The Dons produced a stunning comeback on Sunday to win 4-3 at Curzon Ashton having been three down with ten minutes left, having comprehensively beaten Bury in a first round replay. They are currently 7th in League One.

Gander Green Lane was the venue for the newly-formed Wimbledon’s first game in July 2002, and the following season another pre-season game commemorated the 40th anniversary of the 1963 Amateur Cup final. The sides have met competitively on two occasions, in the 2005 Surrey Senior Cup semi final when Wimbledon won 1-0, and at the same stage four seasons ago, U’s winning 5-2 on that occasion.

The tie is scheduled for the weekend of 7/8 January.
