T20 cricket at Cheam is part of Save the Children golden celebrations

Two fantastic events are taking place this weekend as part of the 5oth celebrations of the Sutton and district Save the Children Branch.

On July 16th there is a Summer Concert of piano music with Judith Burton  which will take place at Reigate Grammar School.

Also on July 16 a T20 Youth cricket tournament, will take place at Cheam cricket club in Peaches Close Cheam.

Both of these events are to celebrate the 50 years that Sutton & District supporters and volunteers have spent fundraising for Save the Children and both events reflect children/youth involvement.

The Concert is a familiar fixture in the Save the Children branch calendar, although this year it takes place at Reigate Grammar School.

The cricket tournament has been organised especially as part of the local “50th” celebrations with Sutton clubs Beddington CC, Cheam CC, Sutton CC and Worcester Park CC all participating.

Play will start at 12 noon and the final is expected to start at about 4 pm and finish at about 7pm. There will be food available on the day and the bar will be open from around 12 noon until 9.30pm.
