Arts Network Sutton executive member Alan Fitter is spearheading a new drive to recruit more volunteers to support ANS’s work. ‘We always need more volunteers,’ says Alan, ‘but at the moment we are particularly keen to find young people in the borough who could help us communicate with our artistic community through the various social media – Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and others.

‘We have some really exciting projects coming up, including our inaugural Sutton – The Movie competition, and we want to make sure as many film makers as possible get to hear all about it. Working with social media on specific campaigns can be a rewarding and creative occupation – one that we think would suit a young person with good social contacts, a creative writing style and a little time available on a regular basis.’
