Living with diabetes – free patient education session

Roger Mills HEALTH & WELL-BEING, NEWS Leave a Comment

The patient education sessions are planned educational activities, designed to improve patients’ health, knowledge and awareness of the importance and benefits of self-care. Engaging and involving patients, carers and the general public is an essential part of NHS Sutton Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) core business. The patient education sessions are a great opportunity to meet and talk with local people.

Sessions will take place on a monthly basis in community venues, lasting approximately two hours. Each session will include short talks and information stalls in a market place style. Stands will be manned by local professionals from various organisations, including health, social care, the voluntary sector and education who are able to inform and support patients, carers and their families, give advice and sign post to local support services.
