Police carried out a drugs warrant at a house in Stoneleigh Road, Carshalton, on Tuesday, 9 August.

Officers knocked on the door to gain entry.

During a thorough search of the premises officers found a number of foil parcels containing suspected cannabis in a child’s lunch box inside the house and a single cannabis plant growing in a tented type area of a shed in the back garden.

A man, aged 30, who was inside the house at the time of the raid, was arrested on suspicion of possession and cultivation of cannabis. He was taken to a South London police station. Enquiries are continuing.

The operation was led by officers from Wandle Valley Safer Neighbourhoods Team following information received from the local community. The officers were assisted by a Met Police drugs dog unit.
