Sutton College tutor Fay De Winter has completed her first book, due to be released in January 2017, by publishers Search Press in the UK and Lark Crafts in the USA.

‘Make It With Air-Dry Clay’ is ‘’an introduction book for all, with twenty step-by-step projects for those who do not have access to facilities and would like to make pieces at home, or would like to try before committing to a ceramics course. I hope it will encourage more people to get involved with clay!’

Readers can delve into the world of air-dry clay crafting with 20 beautiful, easy-to-make projects that are suitable for all skill levels. Each project comes with step-by-step photos and detailed, easy-to-follow instructions and in no time beautiful homewares and jewellery can be created that will be sure to impress.

Fay wanted to acknowledge Sutton College where she has worked for many years saying ‘I would also like to mention my colleagues at Sutton College, who were very accommodating with time and space within the ceramics studio.’

Sutton College has one of the few specialised pottery studios in the country and runs a very busy and popular pottery and ceramics programme throughout the year.
