8199221Safeguarding Listening Event for Voluntary and Community Organisations in Sutton
Date: 26th January 2016
Time: 2-5pm
Venue: Salvation Army, Sutton
Target Group: Staff and Volunteers working with children, young people or adults in Sutton.

This will be an interactive event hosted by Sutton Centre for Voluntary Services (SCVS) and overseen by our new Chief Executive, Alison Navarro.

The session will focus on case studies and thematic issues based on priorities across children and adult’s safeguarding in Sutton. The discussions will centre on the presentation of the issues within Sutton, current practice, identification of gaps impacting on the sector and what next steps are required to improve outcomes.

This exciting event is the first opportunity that voluntary and community sector partners have had to share their experience of both children and adult’s safeguarding issues that will be directly fedback to the SSAB & LSCB Chairs and Boards – so come, be heard and make a difference!

Learning Outcomes:

Voluntary and Community organisations can put forward their voices regarding safeguarding priorities in Sutton
Organisations to gain an improved understanding regarding the work of the LSCB and SSAB in Sutton
Voluntary and Community organisations have the opportunity to influence the future work of the LSCB & SSAB
