football-2Following Leeds United 2-1 victory at Cambridge United they will visit the winners of Sutton United’s  replay against AFC Wimbledon in the 4th round of the Emirates FA Cup.

The prospects of facing Leeds will bring back memories for supporters of both sides, Sutton having famously played Leeds in the 4th round in 1970, losing 6-0, and Wimbledon, then in the Southern League, meeting them at the same stage five years later, drawing at Elland Road before losing a replay that was played at Selhurst Park.

The replay against Wimbledon is scheduled at present for next Tuesday, 17 January, kick off 7.45pm, subject to change should it be chosen by the BBC for their live televised game, BT having already chosen the Plymouth v Liverpool replay for live coverage. Ticket arrangements for Sutton United supporters for the replay will be announced as soon as we have them.

The 4th round is played over the weekend of 28/29 January.
