sv-icon-copy-1Year 8 students from Carshalton High School for Girl have the opportunity to visit the Kingston University on Thursday 2nd February to help understand the opportunities for their future.

Several schools come together at the university, exploring their education options at this crucial decision-making stage.

Students will take part in a range of workshops that provide them with the knowledge and confidence needed to make informed choices and understand progression routes into different careers. The conference also gives students the chance to experience a university setting and emphasises the importance of taking ownership of their own learning and future.

Workshops aim to:

Link GCSE/BTEC options with possible future careers
Explain more about types of qualification and where they can lead
Explore individual strengths and skills, matching these to different degree types
Offer advice and guidance from our Student Ambassadors and staff
Be motivational and inspirational!
This is a fantastic opportunity for students to learn whilst get a flavour of what university life might be like.
