sv-icon-copy-1St. Helier hospital has released a new video demonstrating the journey of ‘red bag’ through the hospital transfer pathway. St. Helier hospital joined with Sutton Homes of Care and the ‘red bag’ initiative in the winter of 2015.

The ‘red bag’ is a simple solution that means when a patient goes to St Helier hospital from a care home they have their personal belongings with them including key information and paperwork about any of their existing medical conditions straightaway – and all handily packed in one place.

The initiative was developed in partnership with NHS Sutton Clinical Commissioning Group, Sutton and Merton Community Services, London Ambulance Service NHS Trust (LAS) and representatives of the Sutton Homes of Care vanguard programme. To celebrate its success, St. Helier hospital has created a new video, which you can find on Youtube , Victor or our twitter page. The video is starring St. Helier’s very own- Maria Paterson, Dr Amir Hassan and Dr Nivi Singh, as well as Jason Morris from LAS and Sarah Stacey from Crossways Nursing Care Home.
