Time is running out for Sutton’s fantastic Community Farm as the organisation tries to get the funding for a new barn – which will secure its future. It needs just £11,000 have raised 60% of the total amount already.

“We’re well over 60% of the way there, but with just 1 week to go we need your help to get our community share offer over the line. We need to raise another £11,000 to reach our minimum target so that we can build a new barn and secure the future of Sutton Community Farm,” said a spokesperson

“With all the crazy weather this week our desperate need was really highlighted. We had five-year olds eating lunch out in the rain on Monday, volunteers dodging raindrops as they valiantly packed VegBoxes on Wednesday, and our packing flow had to completely holt so we could cram nearly 30 people inside for lunch! We’re struggling – and the share offer is the best chance to help with our plight.

“A big thank you to those of you that have already invested so generously. We really appreciate it.

“If you haven’t pledged then please consider doing so today, and for those of you that have please tell your friends and networks about us and encourage them to take part in helping us build a barn and a fairer food system! Please remember it’s all or nothing so if we don’t raise the remaining £11,000 then we won’t get a penny and we’ll have to go back to the drawing board.”
