A new group has been established to encourage support for Sutton’s Secombe Theatre.

“Following the closure of the Secombe Theatre in 2016, we ran a petition calling on the Council to take steps to bring about the reopening of the venue. The petition gained 1,350 signatures,” says the Facebook page.

“Unfortunately, however, the Council was not in a position to achieve the petition’s aim. We have therefore formed the “Sutton Secombe Theatre Revival Group”, through which we plan to draw on all the expertise in the local community, including activists and enablers, to reopen this vital asset. Message us to see how you can get involved. You can also talk to us at Carshalton Environment Fair, where we will have a stall.”
