Tom Brake MP has joined others in congratulating Jigsaw4u on its twenty years of dedication to transforming the lives of local children and young people affected by complex social and emotional experiences.
Jigsaw4u’s achievements and those of its volunteers, staff, and people impacted by the work of Jigsaw4u were acknowledged at a reception in the House of Lords River Room last week.
Tom Brake MP said:
“Jigsaw4u has changed the lives of thousands of children over the last twenty years, lifting the burden of grief, pain, and distress from young people who are not equipped to cope with these emotional and social issues on their own.”
“I am thankful for the commitment and expansion of Jigsaw4u in ensuring that no child’s emotional or social needs go ignored, yet we must do more as a society to reduce the number of children who are in need of Jigsaw4u’s services in the first place.”
Jigsaw4u began in 1997 as a service for children who had experienced a family bereavement, but over the years has expanded its services to include assistance for those affected by domestic abuse, child sexual exploitation, and mental health problems, along with a diversity of other issues.
Tom is a patron of Jigsaw4u.
