Cheam High students record radio play of War of the Worlds

Eight students from Cheam High School recently went to Wallington for the recording of the radio play ‘The War of the Worlds’ by H.G. Wells. Six of the students were from Year 8, whilethe other two were from Year 9. The students were able to have an insight on how professional radio actors perform on the radio, by having a chance themselves to be a radio actor.

The experience started with a quick read through of the entire script, with every actor (including the students) having their own unique roles. The read through was unique in a way that it taught the students how professional actors rehearse with other actors to find out everyone else’s special talents and abilities before the actual performance.
