Get talking about mental health across South West London on ‘Time To Talk Day’

sv-icon-copy-1In support of ‘Time to Talk’ Day on Thursday, 2 February South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust (SWLSTG)  is encouraging members of the South West London community to have a conversation around mental health.

SWLSTG Chief Executive David Bradley said

“We know that 1 in 4 people suffer from mental health but too many people with mental health problems are made to feel isolated, ashamed and worthless by other people’s reactions.

“As a Trust we continue to work to challenge stigma and discrimination across South West London, and this day is an important reminder that simple conversations about mental health can change lives.”

“Just making time to have a cup of tea or go for a walk, and listening to someone talk about how they feel can make a positive difference to someone’s life.”

Time to Talk Day is all about giving people the chance to talk and listen about mental health.  Whatever the hour, every conversation, every text, every share means more people are reached and more lives are changed.
