A Friends of Honeywood Museum Event

To celebrate Black History Month the Friends of Honeywood Museum bring you an evening of jazz originally played by the Greats to illustrate the huge contribution that Black musicians made to the jazz era.

Enrico Tomasso enjoys a well-earned international reputation, including best trumpet category winner in the 2018 British Jazz Awards. Age seven he met and played for Louis Armstrong, resulting in a life-long friendship.

‘It is a mark of true distinction when a jazz trumpeter plays with such fluency and apparent ease that you listen to the music and not the technique’(Dave Gelly, The Observer).

Alongside Enrico is very skilled and knowledgeable pianist Hugh Crozier.‘Nothing could ever muddy up the pianist’s vibrant solos’.(Jazz Review).

Tickets £10 (Friends £8) include a glass of wine and nibbles.
