Hunt is on for borough’s best blooms

Each year, Sutton Council searches for the top green-fingered enthusiasts that help brighten up our borough. The Sutton in Bloom competition categories include:

  • Best Front Garden
  • Best Community Garden
  • Best Business Frontage
  • Best Allotment Garden
  • Best School Garden

The winners will be invited to an awards ceremony this July and the best entries may also be invited to represent Sutton at the prestigious London in Bloom competition.

Heidi Westley, head teacher at Muschamp Primary School (last year’s winner of the Best School Garden category), said:

“We were all so pleased to win again last year, the children put so much energy and time into keeping their school looking beautiful.

“They all appreciate nature and want to make a difference to the environment. Visitors are always surprised that so many flowers can co-exist with over 500 children!”

If you would like to show off your floral display and enter Sutton in Bloom, then make sure you do so by Friday 16 June 2017.
