Kind-hearted volunteers visited Epsom and St Helier hospitals to donate Easter eggs to the young patients on the children’s wards last week.

Members of staff from Sutton United Football Club, Sutton Day Nursery, the Co-operative Funeralcare at Rosehill, Tate Recruitment, the charity Momentum and even Merton PCSO Steve Dickson, were on hand to make sure patients being cared for over the weekend didn’t miss out on all the Easter fun.

The children had a wide selection of Easter eggs to choose from thanks to the generous donations that were made.

Lead Nurse for Paediatrics Lin McGraw said: “Nobody loves Easter more than kids, and so we were really touched that so many local businesses came forward to donate all of these Easter eggs. I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who made a donation and helped to make the children smile.

”We are always heartened by the acts of generosity made by the communities we serve – thank you.”
