Hatch, Match and Dispatch

The 1837 introduction of records of civil registration in England and Wales changed the way we record key events in our lives. We take an in depth look at the way births, marriages, and deaths have been recorded over time and how these records open a window onto our personal histories. The exhibition will include objects, costume and documents.

The Whitehall Baby Mice (up to 18 months)

Take advantage of our sensory resources and spend time with your child in a museum setting. Sessions will include activities eg musical instruments and nursery rhymes.

First Thursday of every month 10.30-11.30am

The Whitehall House Mice ( 18 months to 3yo)

Find out where the mice have been on their adventure and become a Whitehall House Mouse to join in their fun. Sessions can include messy play, stories, movement, music and sensory play.

Thursday 3rd January – Traditional nursery rhymes. Together we will go through some classic nursery rhymes, some action songs and with time to play.

Thursday 7th February – Love. Messy play, make early Valentines cards and pictures with painted hands and shaped stamps.

Thursday 7th March – Marching around. Join us to explore different sounds with our musical instruments, sensory objects, hands and feet.

History and Tea Afternoons Third Sunday of every month 2pm-4pm

A regular date for your diaries! Each month we will explore the history of the area followed by an informal discussion over tea, coffee and biscuits.
