MP welcomes “state of the art” facilities coming to Wallington church

tom-brakeTom Brake MP recently visited the site of the proposed new hall for St Patrick’s Church on Park Hill Rd, Wallington, to learn about the state-of-the-art facilities planned and how the ‘CentreForward’ plans are progressing for the Church.

Tom was joined by Councillor Steve Cook, and met with Harry Frost (Assistant Minister), Peter Main (Centreforward Project Manager), Tim Hyde (Hystar Construction Ltd), Peter Gardner (Architectural Design Consultant) and Stuart Littlemore (CentreForward Project Team).

The aim of the CentreForward project is to replace the aging hall at St Patrick’s Church, which has served for more than 50 years, as the main facility for the church. The decision was taken last year to replace the building, as opposed to repairing it.

The new building will also enable St Patrick’s to further their charity support work, providing sanitary public toilets to the community as well as supporting the Open Doors project by helping to distribute bibles and providing spaces to train Christian leaders. The new building will also provide spaces for people to come together and worship and will provide facilities specifically designed for young people.
