New Victoria Hospital was inspected by the Care Quality Commission on July 19th/20th this year and it has announced that recently it published its report which states that the overall rating for our hospital is “Good”.

In fact the hospital received a rating of “Good” for all 5 of the categories – Safe; Effective; Caring; Responsive and Well Led. Three core areas were subject to the inspection: Surgery, Outpatients and Diagnostic Imaging.

The inspectors identified one area of outstanding practice with one of our surgeons who uses the UroLift System – a ground-breaking prostate surgery. .

New Victoria Hospital is committed to the provision of exceptional standards of care and service to its patients, whose individual needs and safety are our priority at all times. I am very proud of the result and of our staff, especially in light of having been in the throes of our extensive expansion at the hospital during the time the inspection took place.”

Graham Ball added “The inspectors identified some areas where the hospital can do even better, some of which we were already aware of and working on. Once these improvements are in place we look forward to aiming for an Outstanding on our next inspection.”
