Robin Hood Lane Health Centre – Potential extension

NHS Sutton Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) has been successful in the first stage of the NHS England bid process. The bid was for funding for a significant extension of the existing health centre on the Robin Hood Lane site. The proposed large development has potential to house GP services for approximately 50,000 patients, along with additional out of hospital services and other health and care services.

The proposal was developed to meet predicted population growth in and around Sutton town centre.

The next stage of the process is to submit a detailed business case, and the CCG will be undertaking further patient and practice engagement as the scheme progresses; deadlines are still being clarified by NHS England for the next phases of the process.

This bid is one of two that NHS Sutton CCG has been successful in progressing to the next stage, the other being for funding to develop Sutton’s Integrated Digital Care Record (IDCR). They were in competition with over 300 other pan-London submissions bidding for money from the Estates and Technology Transformation Fund (ETTF), a multi-million pound programme to accelerate the development of infrastructure to enable the improvement and expansion of joined-up out of hospital care for patients.
