School celebrates top ten national recognition

Pupils, parents and staff at Cuddington Croft Primary School are celebrating national recognition for a place in the top ten per cent, thanks to excellent results.

The Schools, Students And Teachers network (SSAT) has congratulated Cuddington Croft for the achievement which sees its pupils achieving ‘expected and higher standard’ at Key Stage 2 in reading, writing and maths.

All state-funded schools in England are compared by the organisation and a database of the highest performing in a range of key measures, and the very best are presented with Educational Outcome Awards.

“We were absolutely delighted to receive the letter telling us that we have a national award and it is a great reflection of all the hard work that staff and pupils put in. Well done to all involved and most of all our brilliant students who always try their best,” said head teacher Scott Maclean.

“Cuddington Croft has a caring and thriving environment and we offer and enriched curriculum for our pupils. We are proud of their exemplary behaviour and SATs results. Staff here are of the highest calibre and parents are encouraged to be active in school life,” he added.

The SSAT Educational Outcomes Awards are based on from the Department of Education and Ofsted, data is compiled by the organisation and winners, including Cuddington Croft, receive a special logo to use on the school website and stationery.

“I am delighted that Cuddington Croft Primary School has won an Educational Outcomes Award for Children’s Attainment – top 10 per cent. This award recognised an important aspect of the school’s work but, as we know, there much more to recognise in a good school like Cuddington Croft Primary School,” said Sue Williamson, chief executive of SSAT.

The school, a member of the multi-academy GLF Trust, has just under 500 pupils and is a two-form entry primary which takes children for three to 11-years-old.
