Sutton police urge man to give himself up for questioning

Police have released an image of Richard Pope, aged 42, who is wanted in connection with two burglaries at business premises – one in Epsom Road, Morden, and the other in Church Hill Road, Sutton, during June.

Pope is believed to be residing in the Sutton area.

image-pope_origPolice urge Pope to give himself up and appeal to anyone who knows of his whereabouts to report his location to police.

Police will arrest and prosecute anyone who is found to be assisting an offender who has committed an offence. This could involve hiding an offender, assisting an offender in avoiding arrest and lying to police to protect the offender from investigation and prosecution.

The maximum sentence for assisting an offender can be up to 10 years imprisonment.
