Rehearsals are well underway for a Charity Music Gala at Central Hall, Westminster on June 8th which is being organised by a Cheam man. He has released a short video of the latest preparations. from last week’s rehearsal at Yamaha, London. Charity Gala

David Smith works in barristers chambers in London but outside his work runs a charity choir competition called Legal Harmony.

He is now organising a Charity Music Gala at Central Hall, Westminster on 8th June 2016. Lesley Garrett CBE, the National Symphony Orchestra and an amateur choir of 200 lawyers and support staff will perform a mix of opera classics and more modern songs (eg, Mozart, Handel and Abba!).

Three charities will benefit – Sparks, a children’s medical research charity; London Legal Support Trust, a charity that provides free legal advice through local Law Centres; and Action against Medical Accidents (AvMA), a charity for patient safety and justice.

Tickets are now on sale through Central Hall – visit the website www.legalmusicalgala.co.uk and follow the links. Ticket prices are £15-£35 (booking fees apply, sorry but CHW are in charge of tickets). Doors open 6.45pm, programme starts 7.30pm.
