New generation blues tour comes to Boom Boom Club

new-generation-blues-2016There is a fantastic line up at Sutton’s Boom Boom club on Friday November 11 of New Generation Blues 2016 with Danny Giles Band + Salvation Jayne + The Rainbreakers

The 2016 New Generation Blues tour showcases three of the most exciting young blues rock outfits who have been building their reputation through the old fashioned virtues of hard touring, high profile supports and simply great playing.

For full details of this and all events go to The Boom Boom Club

DANNY GILES BAND: The DGB is a marriage of classic and modern musical values; tipping its hat to the past, living in the present and looking towards the future – combining great songs, a great sound and stunning musicianship, all wrapped up in a modern formula.
The trio of Danny Giles (Guitar & Vox), Pat Garvey (Drums) & Jon Chase (Bass) bring you their brand of full-blooded rock with a twist of blues, gospel and soul, spiriting a no nonsense attitude & paying very little, if any attention at all to any of the boundaries placed before them.
Britain has a dynamic new rock trio, one that has cut it’s teeth and is ready to sink them in, and having raised what amounts to a small army of followers with their fierce work ethic over the last few years, The D.G.B are ready to take on the world and all that comes with it!

THE RAINBREAKERS: Nominated at the British Blues Awards as Emerging Artist Of 2016, the band have developed their sound into a fusion of dynamic elements, bridging the gaps between Blues, Rock, Pop and Soul.
Since the release of their “Blood Not Brass” EP, The Rainbreakers have found themselves being featured extensively throughout a variety of media platforms.
The band’s spirit draws significant influence from older artists such as Free and Humble Pie, yet expresses a strong connection with contemporary bands such as The London Souls, The Black Keys, Monophonics and Gary Clark Jr.
Their performance at this year’s Great British Rock and Blues Festival in Skegness saw them win the crowd vote on the Introducing Stage and gain a place on the Main Stage at next year’s festival.

SALVATION JAYNE is an up and alt.blues-rock band who pursue their own unique style of dirty, sludgy, rock n’ roll blues!
Every few years a new band emerges from the pack to stand in the vanguard of new rock blues. Salvation Jayne is such a band.
Featuring the extraordinary vocals of Amy Benham and the fiery licks of guitarist Holly Kinnear, the band hit some big grooves courtesy of bassist Dan Lucas and new drummer Tor Charlsworth.
Their current ‘Black Dhalia’ CD/ED is symptomatic of their hard hitting style, but it’s as a live band that they really spark.
There’s certainly retro elements in the mix – think Humble Pie, Bad Company, Janis Joplin and – but they also draw on contemporary influences such as The Black keys, The Rival Sons and Beth Hart to forge one of the most exciting shows on the circuit.
Salvation Jayne is the real deal. They rely on strong material, passionate playing, real energy and a rock and roll spirit that will take them far.

The influences may be diverse but the three bands package show is a unique blast of rock-blues power.
