Police front counter provision consultation taking place on September 14

As part of its Public Access and Engagement Strategy, MOPAC along with the Metropolitan Police Service is currently engaging in public consultation on the future of front counters.

In Sutton it is proposed that by 2021 the only front counter provision in Sutton will be the 24/7 front counter at Sutton Police Station.  This proposal would see the closure of the front office at Worcester Park Safer Neighbourhood Base and the closure of the contact point at Crosspoint House.

If you want to be part of that consultation there will be a meeting on Thursday, 14 September at 6.30 p.m. Meeting Room1, Ground Floor in the Civic Centre, Sutton.  This will be an open meeting for anyone that wants to come along.  The meeting will commence with a presentation on the proposals from the police borough commander followed by a question and answer session with the police and MOPAC.  It is anticipated that the meeting will last one hour although there is provision to extend.
