BLACK cab drivers have teamed up with one of London’s most popular speed dating companies to create the ultimate dating event in convoy – speed dating in a black cab

TAXIAPP UK will drive daters signed up with Date in a Dash in convoy around the most romantic roads in London as chosen by a sample of 22,000 drivers.

The taxis will stop every 6 minutes along the way for couples to switch around and meet a new mate.

Creator of TAXIAPP UK, Sean Paul Day, who hopes the event will help reinstall a sense of pride in the black cab industry, said: “We’re really looking forward to it. We take couples on dates every day, so we know all the best spots – it will be great to demonstrate our knowledge for the evening and be part of something a bit different!”

 The dating event will begin and end at Chelsea Gardens taking daters along London’s most romantic roads, including Albert Bridge, Waterloo Bridge and The Embankment.

Date in a Dash event organiser, Robert Ryall, will host the evening. He said: “In my experience the most successful speed dating events are those which offer something a little different. I’ve always wanted to host a mobile event so it’s great working with TAXIAPP to pull it off.”
