Come join us for this circus fun days for families and people who want to have a go at circus skills. Challenge yourself to do some feats with juggling balls, spinning plates, peacock feathers… And why not, test your balance in an upside down position; will your hands hold you?

You’ll get a taster of what it means to be a circus performer, being introduced to some of the most exciting disciplines.

The workshop is led by Jesús Capel, an aerialist and dancer specialised in straps, and a graduate of the National Centre for Circus Arts. He also trained at NOD in Turin and Escuela Charivari in Madrid. Jesús offers a gentle and encouraging teaching style, with attention to detail and clear progressions.

Jesús is Sutton Theatres’ first resident circus artist. Following R&D period at the National Centre for Circus during which he was developing new circus skill combining straps and slackline, he will be developing a new circus show.
