Join groups at a Dementia Pop-up hub

Healthwatch Sutton, Age UK Sutton, Citizens Advice Sutton, Sutton Carers Centre, Alzheimers Society, Riverside Community Association Ltd and Admiral Nurses (Specialist Dementia Nurse’s) have launched dementia pop up hubs which will seek to help local residents who are living with dementia or would like to find out more about the condition.

The hubs will provide an open and accessible space for local people to come and meet other people. Representatives from several organisations will be available at each pop up to provide information and advice. There will also be presentations at midday at each site on dementia related themes such as power of attorney.

The idea for the project came from a recommendation from the Healthwatch Sutton report ‘Exploring the experience of people with dementia and those who care for them in 2017 which found there was not enough support for those living with dementia and a dementia hub in Sutton would address a lot of the issues identified.

“Come to one of our one stop shop information centres,” said a spokesperon for Healthwatch Sutton

“If you are affected by dementia, caring for someone with dementia, worried about your memory or are interested in learning more.

Pop in and see us. Here for everyone affected by dementia.”
