Man arrested on suspicion of possession and cultivation of drugs

Police carried out a drugs warrant at a house in Stoneleigh Road, Carshalton, on Tuesday, 9 August.

Officers knocked on the door to gain entry.

During a thorough search of the premises officers found a number of foil parcels containing suspected cannabis in a child’s lunch box inside the house and a single cannabis plant growing in a tented type area of a shed in the back garden.

A man, aged 30, who was inside the house at the time of the raid, was arrested on suspicion of possession and cultivation of cannabis. He was taken to a South London police station. Enquiries are continuing.
