Parents and supporters of those families with children with Special Educational Needs have launched a group to help highlight and hopefully remove difficulties that they are facing in getting an Education and Health Plan.

An Education, Health and Care plan (“EHC plan”) is a legal document which describes a child or young person’s special educational needs, the support they need, and the outcomes they would like to achieve.

 “The group has a mission is to force the Sutton local authority to change the way that they assess and subsequently treat families. Hopefully making the process fairer and less stressful,” said a spokesperson.
